Turtle Watch received the Terre de Femmes-price 14.2.2011 in fancy gala-moods

Turtle Watch received the “Terre de Femmes”-price yesterday at the Berns Hotell Stockholm at a fancy price ceremony. The day begun with a morning flight from Helsinki to Stockholm, where a taxi was waiting for the Finnish representatives. The ceremony begun with champagne and mingling, after which the gala was opened by the CEO of Yves Rochér Nordic.  After that, last year’s winners Anna and Elin gave an update on their project. Next up was Turtle Watch and the winner of the first price, Nathalie Simonsson. Since I had not had breakfast, the sparkling went straight to my head and took away the nervous feeling I had before the presentation : )

The ceremony continued with lunch; shrimp tartlets with wasabi for starters, teriyaki-salmon for main course with white wine and chocolate cake with Nordic berries, ice cream and coffee as a dessert. Veeeeeeeery yummy! After lunch there was still an opportunity for the press to interview the winners (mostly Nordic women’s magazines).

The trip home got very exciting since the freezing temperatures had caused the trains to stand still, and the streets were therefore extremely crowded with cars. The taxi ride home that would usually had taken us 15 minutes now took nearly an hour, and we had to run straight from the cab to the air plane. However, all in all the day was very nice and all went well, special thanks to Yves Rochér Finland representative Liisa!!!
